When the mention of the word ‘summer’ or winter/spring is sensed to be rounding off, panic is instilled into the heart of even the most fearless gym mortal. Why is that always the case every year?
Firstly, temperatures rise, heatwaves on humans body, palms become greased, and we are all too aware that it’s that time of year when we trade the fur coated parker & winter jackets for the trunks, swimsuits, T-shirts, body hugs, killer shots etc. Basically, there’s more of us on display to the entertained viewing public. But it can only be impressive if you have got the body to show-off.
Secondly, problems arise when we are not yet ready for the summer. We have been massing up weight or fat, perhaps a bit off the ball with mounting calories, and it’s fair to say that we’re more than a tad preemptive to shed off that protective winter skin. The truth is, it’s now too late.
What then is the solution?
Firstly, some might want to resort to checking every single item of food they eat to check for components and with the aim of massively cutting calories. What this does in effect, is simply crashing your metabolism too fast and eats your muscle tissue faster than envisaged.
